Homelessness
We help people at risk of homelessness by connecting them with organizations through applications to get essential resources.
Hungry 4 Change is a nonprofit that connects people at risk of homelessness with essential resources, such as housing, food, and clothes. We started as a student organization in 2018 at the University of Maryland, addressing hunger and homelessness through voter registration and donation drives. In 2020, we became a 501(c)(3) organization, expanding our services to support people in need. We have collaborated with schools in Honduras, and partnered with organizations in Kenya to create sustainable solutions

Collaborate and coordinate donation drives with community organizations and homeless shelter
We help people register to vote, apply for rental assistance, energy bill assistance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and more social services.
Hungry 4 Change is focusing on addressing the root causes of poverty, helping low socio-economic communities to become self-sustainable
We guide people through applications for rent relief, unemployment insurance, food assistance, voter registration, and more. Our team also helps make phone calls, schedule appointments, and connect individuals with trusted community partners.
If you know someone in need, they can call us or email us directly. We’ll work with them to identify resources and walk them through the next steps.
Your donation supports our team in the U.S. who help people apply for housing, food, and other critical services, and funds our sustainable development projects in Kenya, like tree planting and clean water access.
We’re working in Nunguni Town to help communities become self-sustainable through: Hungry 4 Trees - helping farmers grow cash crops like avocado and moringa, along with beekeeping. Hungry 4 Water - providing clean water for farming and daily use by constructing a borehole. While we aim to support school meal programs in the future, our focus right now is on building stability through food, water, and income. Current school food efforts are led by our partner, KEST.
